Peter J. Gregory Named to The Daily Record's "Power 20 Personal Injury 2022" List

Jun 16, 2022

We are pleased to announce that personal injury attorney Peter J. Gregory was named to The Daily Record's "Power 20 Personal Injury" for 2022. In announcing the list, The Daily Record noted that:

“The people on this list help attend to the legal needs of clients involved in personal injury cases, and they have helped limit the disruption the COVID-19 pandemic has caused. They are working to push the Rochester legal community forward during a time of uncertainty and change, and we are excited to see what they are able to accomplish going forward.”

Peter’s personal injury practice focuses on advising clients who have been injured or lost loved ones in accidents caused by the carelessness or recklessness of others. He was asked about his extensive experience in personal injury law:

What has been your biggest success over the past year?

My biggest success over the past year has been working with my colleagues to aggressively grow our firm. In addition to welcoming several new associate attorneys, counsel, and support staff despite a challenging hiring market, we also expanded our headquarters and are now located at 300 Meridian Centre. These achievements, along with our dedication to providing a superior client experience, will allow us to continue on our path toward success.

What are your expectations for the rest of this year?

This year, we plan to implement a new case management system for our personal injury clients. The advanced software will enhance our ability to investigate personal injury claims and manage evidence, including sometimes voluminous medical records. While nothing will replace the prompt, personalized service our clients are accustomed to, this tool will play a key role in achieving the settlements or jury verdicts that our clients deserve.

What advice would you give someone starting a personal injury law practice right now?

I am a proponent of using the best tools and resources that are available to us. My advice would be to invest in technology. From legal research databases to background checks and social media searches, not only are these tools incredibly effective, they save valuable time and resources. Today’s technology can greatly impact the outcome of your clients’ claims.

If you could practice one area of law that you haven’t practiced in your career, what would it be and why?

I have been fortunate enough to have exposure to numerous practice areas outside of personal injury law. While some practitioners tout that they exclusively work in personal injury, you never know when other areas of law may interject in a personal injury claim, such as real estate law in a premises liability lawsuit or estate law in a wrongful death claim. Having a well-rounded background as well as colleagues who focus on other areas of law helps set my personal injury practice apart from others in my field. If personal injury law was not an option for me, I would choose sports law to try and be a part of the upcoming Super Bowl run for the Buffalo Bills!

What is one personal goal you have for the next year?

I am looking forward to spending time with my family and watching my children grow. My wife and I welcomed our second baby girl in October. I’m planning to teach our toddler to swim this summer, and I look forward to seeing our infant’s first steps in the next year.
